Meet the Author

C. L. Thompson

If I were to make a movie about my life until this point, I would entitle it “Watching the Grass Grow”. This was my mentality towards life. I had lost all fight. I had started to watch the grass grow along with letting my life disappearing. My stride for becoming great was locked behind cell walls. I looked in the mirror one morning and my face was full of hair. This became my reminder of time. Physically I was able to withstand great pressures when psychologically not being able to caprice with humility.

I graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in Atlanta, Georgia (2G1), and went on to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. My time in school was well spent and I made great strides at becoming a well rounded individual. The dream of going to the NFL clouded my potential of being a talented scholar.

So yes, I’m from the west side of Atlanta, Mosley Park to be exact. Yes, I was present during the era in which many American idols were raised. Understand that – “Ones true identity is no more than a characters if found away from home. There should be no conflict if the truth is told,” If conflict arises then there is a liar present. The one who has to proclaim himself king can never see himself as a servant’s son. Kings are crowned by the elders not proclaimed by the youth. You can’t defeat me, so don’t buck back.

The purpose in which this book was written was for me to overcome my personal battle with literacy. Unknown to many, I had been struggling with my reading for many years. Now, I have taken my personal time to understand literature. The origin of words, sentence structure, and verb agreement were all areas that I needed to improve in order to compose a manuscript as such. I wanted to develop a story that many could relate to as well as enjoy.

I was born into a military family which moved around a little during my childhood. Within my travels, I gained an understanding of people. With every new city I lived the people encountered the same problems. Males and females wanted to know where exactly did they stand in a relationship with the opposite sex. I have lived nine lives, nine different places, and all the light skin girls had similar faces.

Many of my theories are crazy and outlandish. In actuality, how much does a person know about the world? Every person lives a separate life with a separate identity that is unknown to most of the world: good and evil, right and wrong. Evolution of the mind and the power of energy and karma are inevitable and cannot be controlled by a person that is sheltered. By sheltered, meaning, many people don’t realize that there is a society in which they live.

I was never in a situation growing up that allowed me to disrespect authority. The children of America have become uncontrollable due to their knowledge. Our children have not been given the credit that they desire. They are educated beyond technology but the system has placed a mental handicap on our youth’s growth. They became disengaged in modern day forms of learning. Along with education, the government and private sectors have taken the power away from the adults and placed children on even playing fields with the policies that are in place. If a child is not raised by the village, they don’t respect the village.

Society consists of a three-dimensional perception of the world that consists of more than having a 3D perception of objects: the relationship between one’s mind, body, soul; royalty, loyalty, respect; life, love, and relationship. That is what make us three-dimensional. Things that happen in our lives are not apart of our doing, but by a greater being. The manifestation of words into existence is what makes us the beings that we are. It is also the reason why history will continue to repeat itself.

In his later work, Freud proposed that the psyche was divided into three parts: Ego, super-ego, and identification. Freud discussed his structural mode as an alternative to his previous topographic schema. The three dimensions were simplified to one’s conscious, unconscious, preconscious.

Wake up and see reality for what it is. We are at war. We are living in poverty. We are killing each other. We need to wake up before it is too late. One should plant a harvest that will last for many seasons. Break bread until everyone has a piece; for one should never ask the question why or reply when told. It is ok to change rules but stop breaking laws for you will wake a sleeping beast.
